Sketchbook - Day 1

And so it begins, my new endeavor to work in a sketchbook every day. My drawing skills are limited, my painting skills even more so, but drawing is the basis of my fabric art, so this will give me practice.

I'm limiting myself to 45 minutes maximum every day.

This sketchy painting was done with marker, watercolors and pencil. It's a start, anyway!

Hope you're having a great day!

It's a great start! Don't forget about writing and cutting/pasting snippets of things that you read or see. Sketchbooks are so versatile!

Your colors are so deep, Judy. I ordered some Inktense pencils and "crayons" but somehow they are taking forever. Hope to use them with the Setacolor paints this fall. Yes, please keep posting these for all of us to share. Your work helps us do ours.

So pretty! Don't put down your sketching and drawing and painting skills! Plus... think about how much you'll gain with daily practice. It makes such a difference!

I have to agree with everyone else, I feel your drawing and painting skills are good. The daily sketching will make what is good even better.
